Good game review halo 3

The guns are all generic :missile, smg, pistol, shotgun, etc. If you want story, read a book. If you want fun, play a video game. People say that games are copying Halo, well how is that possible when Halo is just like Unreal or Doom 2. In fact, Halo probably copied Unreal, same music, same looking levels, similar monsters. RFOM at least had innovative weapons: flame thrower, bullet wall spawning gun, exploding blob gun, shoot-through-walls gun, plus all the needed things like the shotgun and smg.

Halo is a definite rip-off of Unreal, you start in a building that has been attacked, alarms going off, you escape, next level is a field, see? Subtalvik said this on April 24, at pm Reply. Yes, Halo 3 is overrated. Is the original completely original?

No, but it did a good job of creating a different spin. In addition, Metal Gear Solid was not the first stealth game ever created.

If memory serves me correct, the original Castle Wolfenstein was the first game to introduce the idea of stealth. Steven said this on May 19, at pm Reply. Agree with you on them retards in matchmaking. They trash talk, blame everything on all the other teammates if we lose a game, and cuss a lot. Then you have the kids that scream into the mic and killing there own teammates. Do you know why you think Halo 3 is so good, cause without it the xbox would be in quite short supply of any real good games.

MGS 2 sucked? Are you on a Microsoft payroll? NOTE: this comment was editted due to foul language. Halo is home again. Eurogamer Italy. The Halo 3 porting is without any doubt the best of the Master Chief Collection to date, and the job done by Industries is commendable. Although we could have hoped for a remake as happened with Halo 2, the developers have shown that despite the years, the third chapter of the first trilogy is still enjoyable. And with the improvements made, it's more beautiful than ever.

Halo 3 is a very good game. As a conclusion to the storyline, it's hard not to be engaged with how things play out with the UNSC, Covenant, and Flood all appearing. Gameplay is very satisfying. Nothing beats sniping enemies, or dual-wielding and taking out the brutes. Although the campaign is shorter than in Halo 2, most players should feel satisfied with the amount of content overall. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. Finally, as a PC port, Halo 3 comes with no notable complaints whatsoever.

Game Rant. Halo 3's PC port is by far the best yet, giving the game smoother controls but otherwise keeping the original experience intact.

So if you've got something you want to save that's at the end of a minute session, you'll have to hold down the fast-forward button for a long time to get to that moment, and if you miss it, rewinding can be a real pain, too. Once you've figured out the little idiosyncrasies of footage manipulation, it's not so bad. Halo has always had a very strong artistic vision, and the graphics have always been just good enough to convey the necessary imagery without becoming huge technical powerhouses.

That's not to say that the game isn't technically impressive, because it maintains a smooth frame rate throughout, and looks very sharp overall with plenty of great lighting and other nice effects. But the visual design overpowers its technical side and really stands out.

Given that the game takes place in a wider range of locales than the previous two games, you'll see a lot of different, colorful environments, including deserts, snow, jungle settings, great-looking building interiors, and more.

The enemies, many of which are returning from past games, also look great. The audiovisual portion of Halo 3 is definitely impressive, with great art, sharp effects, and terrific music. The sound in Halo 3 is a good mix of old and new, much like the rest of the game. You'll hear the familiar Halo theme music and variants thereof. You'll also hear plenty of great new music, including one suspenseful track with a heartbeat-like sound that manages to get your heart pounding as well.

Most of the voice cast from Halo 2 returns to voice their respective characters, and they again turn in terrific and believable performances. You'll also hear a ton of combat dialogue, both from the marines that fight by your side as well as the enemies you're fighting, who don't seem to appreciate it when you kill one of their comrades. Our favorite line from the Covenant was probably "You've killed my brother for the last time," which is pretty hilarious.

As games start to consider user-generated content, it's becoming clear that more and more games will be ready to give you back just as much as you're willing to put into them. On the surface, Halo 3 is every bit the sequel you would expect it to be, in that it delivers meaningful upgrades to both the story-driven and competitive sides of the package. However, it's the addition of the Forge level editor and the saved films that give the game an even longer set of legs, legs that will probably keep you running at full speed until Bungie figures out where, exactly, to go from here.

Bungie's popular first-person shooter makes its debut on the Xbox with Halo 3. You need a javascript enabled browser to watch videos. Click To Unmute. Start at: End at: Autoplay Loop. Adult Written by magreen9 December 12, Read my mind. Adult Written by ProVolcom April 9, If 'Mature' refers to a child's ability to decipher reality from fiction The game was great, and the multiplayer options definitely increase reflexes and focus. I'm a lawyer now, but majored in psychology and have a son that's 6 years old and I don't restrict what he plays by the ESRB ratings.

I feel that a game isn't likely to be the cause of a child growing up to be a hardened criminal. As long as your child is able to draw the line between reality and fiction, you shouldn't restrict them from what they play because chances are they have a friend with parents that won't restrict their child's gaming, and in turn, your child will pick up on it regardless. At least if you're monitoring their gaming, you'll have more control.

Adult Written by Karlson April 3, So much blood Not for kids at all. Great game The best halo ever. Parent of a year-old Written by ChronicGameRevi July 18, Best Halo game along with reach At first, I was a little skeptical of this game and the series in general but after my son convinced me to buy it my worries all went away. I observe my son while he was playing this game and the good outweighed the bad if there even was bad.

The blood was so infrequent that it doesn't even require an option to turn the blood off although I seem to remember that setting in some of the games anyway. In addition to this when there is blood it looks more like fruit juice than actual blood it is mostly alien blood which is not red and has no actual texture. For those extra protective parents out there, you can disable particles which turns off blood, bullet holes, gun blasts, and explosions.

Bad language in this game is almost non-existent. In a game where a lot is going on at once, it can be difficult to actually hear the very infrequent bad language.

I also found that when I was playing the game you don't notice any of this bad language because you are too absorbed with other things in the game. Bad language can be combated easily by turning off the volume off muting the in-game talking. This series is all about saving humanity from oppression and terrorism caused by an evil alien force called the covenant.

The main character Master Chief along with other military units put their own lives at risk in defense of their country and planet as a whole. The main character devotes his entire life to this cause, giving no time to indulge in self pleasures.

He gives up his life, happiness and, most of his humanity just to help others. Although this is a little extreme Master Chief is nonetheless a good role model. To the people wondering "Is it any good? It is possible the best in the series and also it received a 94 on Metacritic. Adult Written by guccigame May 10,
