Before refueling, always stop the engineand never allow sparks or open flames near the filler area. If you need to replace the filler cap, use agenuine Hyundai replacement part. If you open the fuel filler cap duringhigh ambient temperatures, a slight"pressure sound" may be heard.

This is normal and not a cause for concern. Whenever you open the fuel filler cap, turn it slowly. Loose materials couldresult in injury to vehicle occupants during sudden braking. There is a front passenger seatback holder to hang a shopping bag and so on. It may cause damage to the seatbackholder. HTBBefore use the luggage under tray,hang the luggage room mat to the mathanger. Mat hanger is located beneaththe center of the cargo area cover.

Un-less, it may cause transforma-tion of the luggage room mat. Fix the luggage board to the luggage board supporter.

Fold the board to pull the grip upward andpush forward. CAUTION: o When you want to enlarge the cargo space, remove the luggageboard from the luggage board supporter after folding the rear seat.

It may cause damage to the lug-gage board. Use the luggage net on the floor or at the back of the luggage compartment to prevent objects from sliding. DO NOT over- stretch. DO NOT use whenstrap has visible signs of wear ordamage. In the event of a collision or sudden impact, the auto fuel cut device cuts offthe fuel supply. If this device is acti-vated, it must be reset by pressing inon the top of the switch before theengine can be restarted.

If you must drive with the tail gate open because you are carrying objects that make this necessary: 1. Close all windows. Open side vents. Set the air intake control at "Fresh", the air flow control at "Floor" or "Face" and the fan at one of the higher speeds.

To assure proper operation of the ventilation system, be sure the ventilation air intakes located just in front ofthe windshield are kept clear of snow, ice, leaves or other obstructions. Look around the vehicle to be sure there are no flat tires, puddles of oil, water or other indications of pos-sible trouble. After entering the car, check to be sure the parking brake is engaged.

Check that all windows, and lights are clean. Check that the interior and exterior mirrors are clean and in position.

Check your seat, seatback and headrest to be sure they are in theirproper positions. Lock all the doors. Fasten your seat belt and be sure that all other occupants have fas- tened theirs. Turn off all lights and accessories that are not needed. When you turn the ignition switch to "ON", check that all appropriate warning lights are operating and that you have sufficient fuel. Check the operation of warning lights and all bulbs when key is in the "ON" position.

Release it as soon as the engine starts. Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" position. The key can be removed in the "LOCK" position. It will crank until you release the key. If the engine is notrunning, the key should not be left in the "ON" position. This will discharge the battery and may also damage theignition system. To protect against theft, the steering wheel locks by removing the key.

NOTE: To unlocking the steering wheel, insert the key, and then turn the steering wheel and key simulta-neously. The steering wheel is locked by removing the key. The carbon mon- oxide gas emitted is odorless and can cause serious injury or death. If the engine doesnot respond on the first attempt, wait several seconds and try again using the pre-heat. TUNE Press the button not more than 0. Likewise press the button not more than 0. With the button held down for 0. Likewise, press the button for over 0.

Press the preset button for 2 seconds or more, then the current station will be stored into the memoryof the preset button with the sound. SCAN Button When this button is pressed, the fre- quency will be increased to be tuned tothe next receivable station one after another, receiving each station for 5 seconds.

Further pull the popped-ed knob for the balance control. Rotate the knob clockwise toemphasize right speaker sound. Left speaker sound will be attenuated When the control knob is turnedcounter-clockwise, left speaker sound will be emphasized.

Further pull the popped-up knob for the Fader control. Turn the controlknob counter clockwise to emphasize front speaker sound. Rear speaker sound will be attenu-ated When the control knob is turned clockwise, rear speaker sound will be emphasized.
